You will have to postpone your plans if you were thinking of going on a cable car ride on the recently-opened Ngong Ping 360.
The ride started operations in September 2006, and should have functioned like this:
But yesterday, the breakdown-ridden sky ride encountered a further twist of fate:
I don't think I'll have the stomach to go on one now. Or ever.

That is scary! Good thing no one was in the cable car when it happened. But it makes me think twice about riding in cable cars...
gasp! how could it happen? and i went there last Dec. The cable car ride was supposed the highlight but actually Nyong Ping 360 was not much fun. Still it was swamped with ppl, we waited more than 2 hours to go on the cable car!!
So scary right? I think even if it reopens people will think twice about going on it. One several occasions previously, the service was temporarily suspended due to technical reasons e.g. "shortened distance between cars" What's that mean???
Eek! Kind of glad we gave it a miss last year, then! Maybe it's just me, but i have this perception that cable cars in general don't have a great safety track record.
YIKES!!!! where is this again?
